Donating takes one phone call or one form. We arrange the tow, collect the vehicle wherever it is — driveway, street, storage lot, repair shop — and send you the paperwork for your deduction afterwards. You do not need to be there when it goes.
We take cars, trucks, SUVs, vans, motorcycles, RVs, boats on trailers, and fleet vehicles, running or not. Vehicles fund the thing almost every other program depends on: getting people there. Some are repaired and given directly to a family who has work lined up but no way to reach it; the rest are sold, and that money keeps somebody’s lights on or covers the bill that arrived in a month they couldn’t absorb. A car doing nothing in your driveway becomes somebody else’s way to work.

Questions people ask us about vehicles
Does the car have to run?
No. We take vehicles that haven’t started in years, ones with failed inspections, and ones sitting after an accident. Tell us the condition honestly and we’ll tell you quickly whether we can take it.
What if I can’t find the title?
Usually solvable. Most states let the registered owner request a duplicate, and our team will walk you through it. Rules vary by state, so tell us where the vehicle is registered.
Do I need to be there when it’s collected?
No. Most donors leave the keys and signed title somewhere agreed with the driver. You’ll get a receipt confirming collection either way.
What can I actually deduct?
For most vehicles it’s what the vehicle sells for, and we send you that figure in writing. If it’s given directly to a family in need rather than sold, you may be able to claim fair market value instead. Above $5,000 the IRS requires a qualified independent appraisal, which is the donor’s responsibility.
When do I cancel the insurance and plates?
After the vehicle has been collected, not before. Keep the plates unless your state says otherwise, and file a release of liability with your DMV once it’s gone.
Can I donate a vehicle I still owe money on?
Only once the loan is settled and the lien released, because the title has to transfer clear. If you’re close to paying it off, talk to us and we’ll tell you what the lender will need to provide.
