People turning up at the house, asking to take it around the block, then talking the price down over a scratched tank. Meanwhile it’s insured, registered, and losing value with a dead battery and old gas in the tank — and every year you don’t ride it, it gets harder to sell.
Donating skips all of it. One form, one call, and we collect the bike on a trailer from wherever it’s stored — garage, shed, storage unit, or the back of somebody else’s yard. Pickup is free anywhere in the country, and the paperwork for your deduction follows afterward. You don’t need to be there when it goes.
We take road bikes, cruisers and touring bikes, sport bikes, dirt bikes and ATVs, scooters, trikes and unfinished projects, running or not. Bikes tend to sell quickly and cleanly, which makes them well suited to funding things that can’t wait: hospital travel and treatment costs for families already stretched thin, and the youth and vocational programs that give teenagers somewhere to be and something to learn. A bike you’ve stopped riding pays for a journey somebody else can’t afford to make.

Four steps, and we do three of them
From the form to the trailer is usually a couple of days.

You tell us about it
Make, model, rough year and where it’s stored. Mileage to the mile doesn’t matter — condition and location do.

We call to arrange pickup
Within two business days. Bikes travel on a trailer rather than a hook, so we confirm access before booking.

A driver collects it
Leave the keys and title somewhere agreed. If it’s in a storage unit or somebody else’s garage, we’ll coordinate access directly.

Your paperwork arrives
A receipt at collection, then the tax form you need once the bike is sold.
Questions people ask us about motorcycles
Does the bike have to run?
No. Bikes that have sat for years, won’t start, or need work are all worth talking about — motorcycles hold value in parts better than most vehicles. Tell us the condition honestly and we’ll tell you quickly whether we can take it.
What about an unfinished project bike?
Often yes, with one caveat: a part-built bike with boxes of components is far more useful than a frame with pieces missing. Tell us what’s there and what isn’t, and whether you have the title, and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Do you take dirt bikes, ATVs and scooters?
Yes to all three, along with trikes and side-by-sides. Off-road machines often have no title, which is normal — a bill of sale and proof of ownership usually covers it, and we’ll tell you what your state needs.
It’s in a storage unit I’m still paying for. Can you get it?
Yes, and the sooner the better — storage fees quietly outrun what the bike is worth. Give us the facility details and we’ll coordinate access and collection directly with them.
Do I need the riding gear to go with it?
You don’t, but helmets, jackets and gear in good condition are genuinely useful and we’ll happily take them alongside the bike. Just mention it on the form so the driver brings space.
What can I deduct?
For most bikes it’s the sale price, which we send you in writing. Where a machine is placed directly with someone in need rather than sold, fair market value may apply. Above $5,000 the IRS requires a qualified independent appraisal, which is the donor’s responsibility — worth planning for with collectible or late-model bikes.
