Trade-in offers that insult the thing, buyers who want to argue about the transmission, and in the meantime it sits on the lot taking up space and staying on the insurance. Fleet vehicles are worse — several at once, all needing photographs, listings and phone calls nobody has time for.
Donating is one form and one conversation, whether it’s a single pickup or eight vans coming off a contract. We tow from wherever it sits — yard, job site, storage lot, mechanic’s — at no cost to you, and send the paperwork for your deduction afterward. For business donors we provide documentation suitable for your asset records.
We take pickups, work trucks, box and flatbed trucks, vans, utility vehicles and commercial fleets, running or not. Trucks are worth more to us than almost any other vehicle because they do things cars can’t: a sound one goes to a partner nonprofit hauling food, furniture and building materials to people who need them, and the rest are sold to fund emergency transportation — getting someone to a job, a treatment center, or away from a situation they need to leave today.

Four steps, and we do three of them

Make, model, rough year, and where it’s parked. For a fleet, just tell us how many and we’ll work through the list with you.

We call to arrange the tow
Within two business days. Heavier trucks need the right equipment, so we confirm access and weight before booking.

A driver collects it
From your yard, job site or storage lot. Leave the keys and title somewhere agreed — you don’t need to be there.

Your paperwork arrives
A receipt at collection, then the tax form once the vehicle is sold or placed. Business donors get documentation for their asset records.
Questions people ask us about trucks
Does the truck have to run?
No. We take trucks that haven’t turned over in years, ones with a blown transmission, and ones parked since an accident. Describe the condition honestly and we’ll tell you quickly whether we can take it.
Can I donate several vehicles at once?
Yes — fleet donations are some of the most valuable we receive. Tell us the rough count, the mix, and where they’re held, and we’ll plan the collections around your timetable rather than making you deal with them one at a time.
What about commercial trucks with equipment mounted on them?
Usually fine. Service bodies, lift gates, cranes, plows and toolboxes often add value rather than complicate things. Tell us what’s fitted so the right transport turns up.
It’s in a yard I no longer have access to. Now what?
Common with retired work vehicles. As long as you can establish ownership and give us contact details for the site, we can usually arrange release and collection directly with whoever holds it.
What can my business deduct?
For most vehicles it’s the sale price, which we send you in writing. Where a truck is placed directly with a partner organization rather than sold, fair market value may apply. Above $5,000 the IRS requires a qualified independent appraisal, arranged by the donor — which most single trucks and nearly all fleets will exceed, so plan for it.
When do I cancel the insurance and plates?
After the truck has been collected, not before. Keep the plates unless your state directs otherwise, and file a release of liability with your DMV once it’s gone.
